Biography
Instructor, General Provider Hikaru
Hikaru has extensive experience working at a beauty salon. While customers waited to be attended, she gave them complimentary hand massages and shampoos. There, she felt rewarded when customers told her that they felt good, so she changed careers.
After obtaining her cosmetology license, she traveled to Bali. While studying authentic oil massage there, she encountered Ayurveda, the traditional Indian medicine, and was deeply moved. After returning from Bali, she traveled to India to officially study Ayurveda, and came back to Japan after mastering the authentic techniques.
Upon returning from India, she went through a difficult time due to health issues. However, by incorporating Ayurveda into her lifestyle, she made an astonishing recovery in just three months. She felt the effects firsthand and wanted to share this experience. Hikaru then attended Jiva Japan Ayurveda School in Tokyo and decided to open her own Ayurveda salon.
Hikaru opened her practice in 2014 and currently provides treatments to convey the benefits, effectiveness and relaxation of Ayurveda to as many people as possible. She also runs her own school, where she teaches everything from basic courses to advanced treatments, while projecting a global way of thinking through Ayurveda and cherishing Japan’s ancient culture. With a heart of gratitude and appreciation for all the encounters she has had, Hikaru spends her days working hard to instruct, treat, and educate the next generation.
